Roast Red Fruit Wuyi
The Taiwanese Wuyi Cultivar is having a bit of a renaissance here in Taiwan and for good reason. It is versatile, delicious, and when produced by master hands it has some the best 'aftertaste' of any cultivar in Taiwan.
Case in point, this expertly roasted Wuyi Cultivar Oolong from our friends in Ilan is a real treat for those that like their teas toasted. Warm, rich and smooth roast red fruit notes are the dominant flavors of this one, and the sweet clear aftertaste is also pretty good! It takes skilled hands to roast a tea this well, and we are always happy to be able to share some with you.
This great tasting tea is some of the best value tea on the site right now for one main reason. The Ilan area is not 'famous' so the 'terroir premium' is at a minimum. We know for a fact that many resellers buy tea in this area and sell it at a premium in 'Alishan' or 'Shanlinxi' labelled bags. Lying is not our style, so we are happy to be able to offer this tea at its authentic, great value price!
