Founder Matt Hopkins created Mountain Stream Teas as an outlet to connect the world with the highest quality chemical-free Taiwanese tea grown and brought to market in the most sustainable and regenerative way possible. All of our tea must have three criteria before it makes it to the site.
1. Teas have to be chemical-free. No chemicals can be used in the farming, processing or finishing of the tea in any way. No artificial flavors, colors or preservatives are ever added. These are teas we happily, and confidently, drink ourselves and give to our families. Some teas are certified organic, most are from smaller farms that can't justify the high certification costs for such small batches of tea. All are chemical free.
2. Our producers are our friends. We have to like and trust a producer before their teas make it to this site. That means hours of hands-on experience at the farms, long enjoyable tea-tasting sessions and the formation of deep relationships with the makers of these teas. As Mountain Stream Teas unfolds we will bring these personalities into our social media accounts so you can meet them as well!
3. Our teas have to taste exceptionally good. Through years of sourcing and stomping around tea gardens, we have chosen the best possible tasting teas to share with you, and the world.
These teas are chosen for those reasons and we stand behind them. If you are unhappy about the tea for any reason let us know. We will give you your money back, no questions asked.
