Roasty with some earthern notes supplemented by a floral almost honey-like sweetness. Easy to drink but makes you come back for more. Works great both for western brewing and in a gaiwan. Stands up quite well to multiple infusions without getting bitter at all.
This tea was surprising in how clean and crisp it is for an oolong verging on a black tea. When putting the leaves in a warm gaiwan, could have sworn it was roasted from the heavy oxidation. The earthiness was light, worked well as subsequent infusions had different flavors develop, all with a beautiful rose floral note which tied everything together. Got seven infusions and could have kept going with it, no bitterness at all. A unique and excellent one which will be on my next order for sure.
Tried a sample and came back for more. I really did think it might be roasted!, then read the description.. special and tasty tea
This red is heavenly. It's like drinking a dessert but without the calories! If you like dessert 'flavored' teas then I highly recommend this tea as your entry into the world of 'pure' teas. The sweet rosy floral of this tea is not added. It's simply how the tea naturally tastes!
