A favorite of this company and for many of our customers, our freshly finished Fall Pear Mountain Oolong 2021 is ready to be shipped! 2021 has been a banner year for tea up on Pear Mountain and this year's fall pick is great.
This year we are also offering two different teas from the same garden picked on different days. The Bug Bitten Fall Pear Mountain was picked on the 20th from an area of the garden with more shade trees, and more bugs. It is lighter and has a hint of wild honey from green leaf hopper bites. The Rich Fall Pear Mountain was picked the next day, the 21st, from an area of the garden in full sun. Its flavor is richer, more buttery and has the classic full flavor of fall picked high mountain oolong.
These are all teas picked from the same garden by the same pickers and processed by the same great tea master, just on different days. Offered this year:
Bug Bitten -- Picked August 20th, the first steeps of this tea are sweet and light with hints of wild honey.
Rich -- Picked August 21st, full thick fruit, buttery mouthfeel, rich vegetal.
This Pear Mountain Oolong has all the markers of a world-class tea, except for the price point. Clear vegetal beginnings give way to the thick buttery mid-mouth and finishes with a sweet stone fruit that lingers on the palate for hours. The classic butter mouthfeel of high-mountain Taiwanese oolongs is enhanced by the beautiful flavors of this 2000m-high terroir. This tea is the Fall pick so the flavors are richer, more buttery and stronger than the other seasons.

I don't know what to call it except good
As a beginner, I am exploring all types of tea, and this one is one of those that made my eyes & taste bud light up from first taste. I am still acquiring the vocabulary to describe the taste of tea, so the best I can come up with for this is "good!" and "repurchase!" It has a light and sweet fragrance & taste, tastes fresh, and makes me happy with each sip.

Another year - still my favorite
What should I say - this tea is my favorite tea. Love the Pear Mountain Oolongs, but autumn pick is the best (for my taste)
