Jade Floral Oolong
Easy to brew, highly affordable, and with the classic 'Taiwanese Oolong' taste, this smoothly floral oolong makes a perfect daily drinker for the office or a great tea for a cafe. Made from the #13 Cultivar, Cui Yu(Green Jade), it hits about perfectly between the Qinxin and Milk Oolong(Jinxuan) flavor profiles, with just the right mix of wide, thick mouthfeel and greenish white floral expected from a greenish Taiwanese Oolong.
We have been enjoying this tea grandpa style while working. (In fact, it is fueling this description right now!) Hard to brew wrong, it is a great 'add hot water to taste' type of tea to get us through the work day.
This great tasting tea is one of the best value teas on the site right now for one main reason. The Ilan area is not 'famous' so the 'terroir premium' is at a minimum. We know for a fact that many resellers buy tea in this area and sell it at a premium in 'Alishan' or 'Shanlinxi' labelled bags. Cheating is not our style, so we are happy to be able to offer this tea at its authentic, great value price!
