Honey Black Oolong

** This tea is almost sold out and we will be restocking it hopefully in mid-November. Unfortunately the nature of small batch tea is feast or famine. Sorry for any inconvenience!**

This oolong and black tea hybrid has bug bitten leaves and a very unique flavor profile. First steeps are honey comb flavored before opening up to the creamy slightly floral notes of an oolong. A unique, highly oxidized tea that is a best seller! The east coast of Taiwan consistently produces the best of the best Honey Fragrance Black Tea and our partner farm is famous for its consistent wins in the annual tea competitions. This uses the same material to create an oolong tea!

**Like all our teas, there are no added flavors, colors or chemicals in this tea. All flavors are completely natural and chemical-free!**

A must try

Quite unique and interesting ooloong.
The taste is really clean with a pleasent finish. A lubricating texture with no astringency. This tea is on the thin and soft side.
I got a balance honey and floral taste, playing with some less high notes.
After a couple of infusions I had a refreshing mouth feeling.
A nice hybrid worth trying!!

Different and Amazing

Just a unique and REALLY great tea.
I'm still quite new to Taiwanese tea, only had about a dozen from two reputed vendors (compared to hundreds from China/India), so i don't really have a reference for comparing to other teas from Taiwan, or the vocabulary to describe them..
but the teas from this seller are BLOWING MY MIND
they aren't cheap, but they deliver!

Unique!

This is a unique and lovely black oolong! Absolutely no astringency or roasted notes at all with this tea but simply clean pure taste with a faint sweetness that's definitely honey like. For me it was on the thin side but when drinking with food I found the honey like sweetness even more pronounced. The uniqueness of this oolong from others I've had was the quinching sensation on the sides of my tongue leaving me craving more infusions. A delightful dark oolong that's pleasant to drink anytime day or night!

A Must for any oolongist

If you have thing for "honey oolongs/highly oxidized oolongs I definitely recommend this tea.
Rarely have I stumbled upon such a fine, great oolong, with such distinctiveness.
The honey taste comes from the plant´s reaction to bug bites.
The quality is superb, the taste splendid. There´s no astringency with this tea. It balances between floral and dark, with plenty in between.
