Dragon's Eye (Longyan) Flower
Herbal Tea
An absolute floral honey blast of flavor, this exceptional tisane is one of the rare brews that gives the 'wow' factor to even the most experienced tea drinker. Sweet, subtle but strong honey comb and the unmistakeable scent of Longyan Flowers greet the owners of this one.
Made with the small flowers of the Dragon's Eye, or Longyan, Fruit Tree, it was meticulously crafted by hand by a multi generational farmer family in Mingjian. Both Tea and Rice processing machines were used in the creation of this amazing experience and we have a feeling that this Herbal Tea might become a little bit more famous and less rare in the years to come...
1g of this tea goes a long, long way and we tested it out to over 10 steeps using a gaiwan. We also grandpa styled it and drank the sweet honeyed broth all day. This tisane isn't cheap per gram, but it doesn't disappoint in longevity.
One of the rarest experience we have be able to offer on the site, the herbal tea has is one of the best tisanes we have ever come across. We were only able to get our hands on about 600g, and it wasn't cheap! Rest assured next year we will try to get our hands on more!
**Unless you are an expert Gaiwan user, this tea will need some kind of filter. The flowers are small. We had the option of buying tea bags but we just couldn't knowingly offer tea bags. We care about you too much. (Google 'tea bags micro plastics' for details) We also know that you are some of the smartest and best people on the planet so you will be able to figure it out :)
