This is the first white tea that I've tried, and I'm impressed! The initial few steeps with a gaiwan are light, sweet, and have a stone fruit flavor/aroma similar to nectarine or apricot. Later steeps have a darker flavor, which I agree has some orange and ginger going on, but there's also some spice and a bit of that stone fruit character still in the mix. Overall, quite tasty!
This tea has a sweet aroma. If you have smelled melted beeswax before, it has the same beeswax-honey aroma that is so delightful. This is a very nice tea and sure to please.
I really enjoy this white tea. It's light, but has plenty of flavor. Orange and light spice is what I'm getting. One of my favorites!
I got this in a sample with a previous order. It’s a great tea, so I ordered 250g. There’s not much else to say that hasn’t already been said in other reviews, but I can’t see how anyone would regret buying this. It is very easy and forgiving to brew. Ive had it gong fu style, bowl brewed, and grandpa style all with excellent results. It’s very unique for a white tea. I’m curious to try the green next time to see how it compares. I have to say that the quality to price ratio of the teas I’ve bought from this site exceeded my expectations.
As a fan of silver needle (with rose usually) but dislike white peony, this Sanxia white tea is my new favorite! It gives a bit of sweetness with a very unique fragrant. Definitely recommended.
