This tea has some great flavor but is considerably lighter than the other Pear Mountain teas. The Fall picks, particularly A, have been my favorites. I find I have to use about double (8g per 100g of water) of the Snow pick to pack the same punch as the Fall or Spring pick at 4g per 100g. I seem to get more infusions from Fall and Spring, 4 vs. Snow's 3, at this ratio.
This is quite possibly my favorite pick of Pear Mt. even though I love them all! This one starts out lighter than the others and reminded me very much of some recent Dayuling I had. Makes me think of the crisp fresh air of a winter's day filled with snow and ice cycles. It felt like I was drinking in fresh high mt. air with a hint of the beautiful floral that is in this oolong. As the steeps go on and on the floral comes out in full display among those snow covered leaves making for one of the most refreshing oolongs I've ever had!
I have and love all three other seasons of Pear Mountain, and this one is the most different
The first brew is delicate ans subtle, and the more standard High Mountain tastes join in in the second brew.
Really nice tea.
if you're able definitely try the 4-seasons sample pack,
it's a win-win as they're all good and different!
