Organic Alishan Oolong

Winter Pick 2019

There is a reason that Alishan Oolong is famous and this tea is the best expression of it that we have ever found. Bright, floral, sweet, oceanic, and all the other descriptors used for Alishan Oolong can be found within these tightly rolled balls of leaf. Grown on the only organic farm in the Alishan area proper(that we know of), we are proud to stock this tea. It takes guts to grow organically in a place where even conventionally grown tea can be sold with an automatic 50% premium no matter the quality.

Last year this farm didn't even have a winter pick as the bugs and weather prevented even a small harvest. We are lucky that we got our hands on some of this year's limited winter harvest. And if you choose to get some, then you will be pretty lucky too. We are not supposed to say it, we love all our teas equally, but this just might be the best of the 2019 winter picked teas. A little bitter in the up front but the aftertaste to this tea is like no other...

Excellent

If you like Alishan, this is a great example, good price too Plus, I like the lip service to sustainable and organic practices, even if that makes me a hipster.

High Mt. Deliciousness!

This is a great example of what a high mt. Taiwanese oolong can be. The taste is refined, delicate, and absolutely delicious! But is this one any better than Pear Mt.? I suggest you try them both and make your own decision!
