Honey Black Oolong

A real treat for those that love Red Oolongs and Honey Fragrance Black tea, this hybrid of the two genres is full of honey, rose and dark oolong goodness. Relatively rare, this type of tea can only be made at just the right time of the deep winter in the south of Taiwan when the bugs wake up a little but before the hot weather arrives to change the taste of the tea leaves to the woody strength of the warmer months.

We haven't had this tea for on the site a long while and we are happy to have it back. There are more than a few wonderful tea people that are sure to share our happiness about its return as well!

**Like all our teas, there are no added flavors, colors or chemicals in this tea. All flavors are completely natural and chemical-free!**

astonishing!

Dark honey, roses, delicious! This tea astonished me. Best Oolong I have ever had. I didn't think I would like a dark oolong but to say that I like it is an understatement. Definitely give this a try! Matt obviously knows what he is doing. Plenty of tea sellers talk up their teas but not everyone delivers. I hoped for a good tea but got a great one. Going to order a larger amount for a holiday tasting with the tea appreciators in my family.

Surprising!

I don't like black tea so I stay away from the highly oxidized oolongs , but this was included in my order as a free sample and I was very surprised by it as it isn't bitter or astringent at all. It really does has a honey-like scent and unique taste. The best I can compare it is to one of the sweet potato tasting oolongs, except I think I like this even better. Give it a try even if you don't usually like the darker teas.

This blew my mind!

This may be the best MST oolong I have tried so far, so good in fact I had to write a review right after trying it for the first time. I've had mediocre experiences with darker oolongs but I decided to try this one because of that sought after honey aroma of bug-bitten tea leaves. I seemed to have nailed the brewing temperature and time in my gaiwan because this tea was spectacular! It tasted almost chocolatey and malty while still being very honey-forward. This tea truly put a smile on my face which lasted through a gorgeous lingering aftertaste. This is truly a unique tea and one that I will order again.

Spectacular

This is a fabulous, sweet, rich, deeply honeyed tea. So glad MST got some more. This is a slightly finicky brew for me, but if I nail it just right, holy cow it is amazeballs. If I get it wrong, it's kind of sour and flat and I feel sad for wasting amazing tea.
