High Mountain Beauty
The green leaf hopper doesn't arrive at this high an elevation every year, and needs just the right weather conditions to make it. They need it to be warm but not hot, wet but not too wet, windy but not gale force winds, and they need make sure they arrive in large numbers just at the right time to feed on the tender new leaves of the early summer tea plants. (An organic garden helps too :) This year, that all those things came to pass and with skillful processing, we get to drink this amazing bug bitten High Mountain Beauty Oolong.
As the name suggests, the flavor of this tea falls somewhere in between the rich, soft vegetal of a High Mountain Oolong and the fruity floral candy of Eastern Beauty Oolong.
This one is certain to become a classic. If you are a fan of Eastern Beauty and High Mountain Oolongs, it is a must try!
