Alpine Honey Red
This tea has all the makers of an instant classic. Rich rose florals, smooth red fruit and just the right amount of wild honey is a taste combination that we are sure many will love as much as we do. Picked in the late spring from an organic garden on Chi Lai Shan, the altitude and terroir help create a special 'High Mountain' feel unique to this tea.
High Mountain Red Oolongs are rare as tea leaves grown above 1000m are usually turned into the more popular greener oolongs and we were happy to get our hands on this one. The added bonus of honey notes from Green Leaf Hopper bites come as gift from the great weather we had in late spring. The Hoppers usually don't make it quite so high up the valleys, but when they do the resulting teas can be spectacular!
If you are a fan of higher oxidized oolongs, this one is a must try!
