This rarest of teas is one that is usually 'farmers only'. Picked just as the first frosts put the tea trees to sleep at the start of winter, the crisp freshness of this tea is world class. Due to the small quantity and difficulty of making this tea, it very rarely leaves the island of Taiwan! The rich floral vegetal sweetness of the snow picked teas is unmistakable and this one has it in full force. Like cabbage flowers in a sweet vegetable broth, once you have had it once it is hard to forget the unique taste of this season!

Method: Hand picked, processed on site, very small batch

Region: Lishan(Pear Mountain), Nantou

Recommend Brewing Style:

Gong Fu Style: 3-5g per 100ml, ~100C water, 30, 45, 60 then add 5-10 seconds steeps in gaiwan. Lasts 6-7 steeps.

Western Style: 3g per 100ml, ~100c water for 3 minutes. Lasts 2-3 steeps.

Stunning

This tea is stunning, worth every expense. Buy it just to get a closer look at the beautiful tightly-rolled leaves! Super vegetal taste, super milky texture, like peas with butter. Will be purchasing again in larger quantities.

pure wonder - aroma, taste, visual

Picked out this tea for its description - sounding like a love letter to it - frost? farmers only? i remember delightful frost touched nepali tea i once tasted. Art of description - how does it work its charm? This tea was truly a gem! Aroma and taste complemented each other - fragrant, light and buttery, full, almost ... whiff of popcorn! Then the colour. Luminescent and warm. Very memorable tea. Thank you Mountain Stream Teas ❤️🫖

WOW! This tea was a total shock for me. As it is so different from any other Li Shan is have EVER had. An absolute superior green oolong raising the bar to ultra platinum level for tea drinkers. This sublimely sweet Lusciously ultimate green umami sugar pea nectar from this tea is fantastically one of the greatest drinking pleasures this tea drinker has EVER had . I purchased. 100gr. I should have bought 200. It steeps and steeps and steeps with just never ending flavor . THIS is truly a VERY SPECIAL TEA.

Very different Pear Mountain Oolong

This tea is so different from the Pear mountain teas I've had before. The florally sweetness is replaced by a more vegatal taste. This snow pick is still floral but has a more green/vegetable note to it. The smell of the wet leaves really remind me of freshly cooked peas (: Really a delicate and lovely tea!
