Pear Mountain(Lishan) Oolong

Fall Pick Limited Release

## Only 300g of the Fall Pear Mountain B left. If you liked this tea it is a good idea to stock up before it is gone!##

This year our partner farm on Lishan created two beautiful teas on the same day with the same material. Fall Pick A is an easy to brew lighter oxidized oolong whose buttery florals are rich, subtle, long-lasting and great for grandpa/western style brewing. Fall Pick B is more oxidized with stronger, richer, deeper buttery flavors in the up front with more of the heat of the fall pick, but with less of the floral aftertaste of the Fall Pick A.

Both are beautiful teas in their own right and it was tough for us to choose which tea to buy, so we bought both! Right now we are offering a limited time offer of 50g of each tea for a discounted price of only 20$. We have an option to buy more of both teas but we would love to hear which tea everyone prefers before we decide to settle on one!

This Pear Mountain Oolong has all the markers of a world class tea, except for the price point. Clear beginnings to a sweet and sour stone fruit finish that lingers on the palate for hours. The classic butter mouthfeel of high mountain Taiwanese oolongs is enhanced by the beautiful flavors of this 2000m high terroir. This tea is the Fall pick so the flavors are richer, more buttery and stronger than the other seasons.

My Daily Drinker

Currently, I am very pleased to drink the Fall Pear Mountain oolong using Gong Fu style. I don't quite drink tea daily, but this is certainly my most frequent choice so far. This tea has an amazing floral smell once steeped, and the flavor is just the right amount of sweetness and floralness. I definitely prefer type A over type B for two reasons: stronger floral aftertaste and the longer-lasting steeping ability.

Whooo-E!

I can't WAIT to try the "B" which is on its way as I write...I have tasted a few teas that were referred to as having the elegant, light taste of something as complex in taste as a pear. Well, THIS one's "got it together"! What FUN---a delightful surprise that only a high-mountain tea can deliver---and as described, the taste lingers, and leaves a "prompt" to "get more of this"! And like a living fruit, this tea in Gong Fu style, unfolds more quickly than words can catch up to--light floral, slightly sweet fruit, delicate but enduring taste!

Really hard to choose

It took 16 days for my order to be delivered to Moscow, Russia. Based on the description on the site I've bought the type B and was pleasantly surprised to get a free sample of type A. I've had two sessions with type A and two sessions with type B. In short, both are fantastic teas. Very oily and endurable. Type B I would call a desert type of tea, slightly more sweet, and very very slightly more oily.
Both aftertastes are very pleasant and long.

Worthy High Mountain Oolong

After almost a month of drinking I have to say this tea stands extremely well against pricey High Mountain Oolongs.. If you like green Oolongs you have to give this one a try!
