Organic Alishan Oolong

Spring and Winter Pick 2021

**At the recent Tea Expo in Taipei we were able to get the 2021 Winter version of this tea at a discount and decided to pass that discount on to you!**

There is a reason that Alishan Oolong is famous and this tea is the best expression of it that we have ever found. Bright, floral, sweet, oceanic, and all the other descriptors used for Alishan Oolong can be found within these tightly rolled balls of leaf. Grown on the only organic farm in the Alishan area proper(that we know of), we are proud to stock this tea. It takes guts to grow organically in a place where even conventionally grown tea can be sold with an automatic 50% premium no matter the quality.

The Winter 2021 pick had great growing conditions and this tea has all the taste characteristics that fans of this garden love. Sweet, smooth, creamy and with that floral aftertaste that lasts forever.  If you are a fan of this garden we are sure you will enjoy it!

**If you enjoy this tea it might be worth it to check out the Alishan Red Oolong that was made this late-spring from the same garden.

Fragrant tea

Fragrant, light, with a dry after taste.

Although my order took a little time to wend it's way to the UK, it arrived with samples of two other teas to try. I love Alishan Oolong and was very pleased to find an organic supply. My daughter spent last year in Taiwan and brought me some as a gift. She put me on to your website as I think she met you and wanted me to support your venture, which I will be happy to continue to do.

Delicate and Bright

While I'll be the first to say this tea didn't blow me away, it is very good and has its merits. It doesn't have a strong flavor upfront at all, but the taste really comes through after a second or two and sticks with you. I'm noticing lots of pleasant astringency that's maintaining that flavor. The tea is otherwise lightly floral and delicate, a pleasant drink while I read on a lazy day.

If you like Alishan, this is a great example, good price too Plus, I like the lip service to sustainable and organic practices, even if that makes me a hipster.

High Mt. Deliciousness!

This is a great example of what a high mt. Taiwanese oolong can be. The taste is refined, delicate, and absolutely delicious! But is this one any better than Pear Mt.? I suggest you try them both and make your own decision!
