Nanhu Mountain Spring Oolong
**This year's harvest has a bit of dark floral touch to the usual minerality that makes this terroir so unique!**
The sister tea to the famous Nanhu Mountain Eastern Beauty, this tea is made from the same material as that tea, but classically formed into a high mountain oolong. And it is one special oolong! It is also produced in a small batch way. We only have a limited amount on offer.
Grown at 1400m above sea level at a very new tea-growing area called Nanhu Dashan in North Central Taiwan, this tea is a wonderful example of a rare granite terroir. The minerality of the brew is dramatic and fun. This type of mouthfeel is extremely rare in a Taiwanese tea.
The experience of this tea is one of a full, soft vegetal upfront, with a lingering sweet orange stone fruit finish. Around the mid mouth, the flavor changes to a strong floral/stone fruit-like sweetness that lingers in the aftertaste for a very, very long time. It is a complex, and gorgeous, aftertaste that lasts through many steeps. Masterfully crafted by a gifted Tea Master, we are proud to support people that make teas such as this one.
