Snow Mist Green
For the 2025 Harvest we were offered a small amount of fresh Snow Mist Green Tea. Made from the same leaves as its more famous White, Black and Oolong siblings, this Green Tea is something completely different.
If you have ever visited a tea garden in person, most likely you have tried a tea leaf or two, or experimented with placing some fresh leaves in hot water, only to be rewarded with a hint of beautiful aromatics followed by very unpleasant bitterness and astringency!
This tea is the closest we have had to that experience, without the bitterness! Made by frying fresh tea leaves to 'kill green', then drying the leaves quickly, this subtle, deeply vegetal and long lasting green tea is the actual taste of the leaves 'on the mountain'.
It doesn't have the strength or famous taste points of the other Snow Mist Teas, but if you are a fan of the terroir and want to understand the area better, or just love a good green tea, this rare tea is worth a try!
**This tea needs some time to open up and release its flavors. 'Grandpa Style' brewing is highly recommended! (Place some leaves in a cup or mug, add hot water and sip to your hearts content. Add hot water to taste and refill as needed!)
