Gui Fei Oolong
We have finally found a Bug Bitten Gui Fei (Concubine) Oolong for the site! This unique style of unroasted tea falls somewhere between the Red, Eastern Beauty and Dong Ding styles of Oolong with rich red floral notes, a hint of sweet honeyed dates over a smooth Oolong base.
This year’s version is made by our friends on Jade Mountain at a certified organic garden and we are thrilled to be able to share it!
**Most Gui Fei oolongs we have tried often have a rough, starchy note to them that we are not a fan of. Due to the higher elevation of this tea that note is missing, giving this version of the Gui Fei style a smoother brewing experience.
