Spring Pear Mountain(Lishan) Oolong

From one of the favorite regions of this tea company, this Pear Mountain Oolong has all the markers of a world class tea. Clear sweet vegetal beginnings to a smooth buttery mid mouth finishing up with a sweet fruit aftertaste, this tea is great for beginners to high quality tea and veterans alike. The classic butter mouthfeel of high mountain Taiwanese oolongs is enhanced by the beautiful flavors of this 2000m high terroir. It is the spring pick so the flavors are softer, lightly floral and smoother than the other seasons.

**This year's Spring Pear Mountain was picked the first day of the production season and is much smoother and well balanced compared to last year's frost damaged tea. It is a great example of what high mountain teas are all about!

Gong Fu Style: 3-5g per 100ml, ~100C water, 30, 45, 60 then add 5-10 seconds steeps in gaiwan. Lasts 5+ steeps.

Western Style: 3g per 100ml, ~100c water for 2-3 minutes. Lasts 3+ steeps.

**This tea takes a couple steeps to open up and lasts for many steeps. Hot longer steeps will reward you greatly!

Love it

This Li Shan is excellent. It has a rich and satisfying aroma accompanied by a sweet, beautiful long-lasting aftertaste. Immaculate picking standard as well. It is great brewed both Gong Fu style or grandpa style. However, after some experimentation I’ve found bowl brewing to produce the best results. I used about 4.5g tea in approximately 150ml of 99c H2O, steeped for 5 minutes. This will yield 3 very good infusions. This method, more than any other, brings out the buttery sweetness that Li Shan is so famous for. Also, the price is extremely good for the quality. I’ve tasted LiShan double the price that wasn’t as good. I’m glad I ordered 250g before it sold out. Hopefully I can make it last until next spring.

Remembers me of Taiwan

Every morning I´m looking forward to make my cup of tea. Pear Montain Oolong is always my favourite!

Outstanding

I am a tea snob and I love this oolong. I also bought the big leaf oolong and I’d say the big leaf has more of a floral aftertaste - which I like. Both are excellent teas. I’ll be back for more soon.

Delicious

A lot of ripe fruit notes but balanced with a creamy mouthfeel. The best of both oolong worlds.
