Alpine Golden Green
Our friend on Chi Lai had a few ‘left over’ springtime leaves and he decided to do a little experiment with them. Using a yellow/green/oolong hybrid light oxidization 'piling humidity' processing style he created that he called a ‘Yellow Tea’. We don't think it is quite exactly a yellow tea, although it does have some of the softer vegetal notes of that genre. There are also a spattering of green teaish flavors with a bunch of oolong thrown in, all combining to make one of those teas that is unique enough to make you sit up a little when you try it. Easy to brew and easy to drink, it is a pleasant melange of Yellow, Green and Oolong notes that is sure to find some who love it.
This tea is another one of our ‘Hybrid’ type tea experiment offerings and this one worked out quite well, especially the price. We are always up for a good experiment here at Mountain Stream Teas!
