Man, what a tea.
Unlike most Milk oolongs the milkly flavor lasts for many steeps and doesn't all hit you up front.
You get a nice creamy green oolong flavor with a bunch of sweetness and a hint of roast flavor. I don't get any florals here, just sweet and a little fruity. Feels strange to call this a daily drinker, because its a far higher level of quality.
I found this tea benefits hugely from being brewed in clay. In porcelain you get a bit of a Smokey edge. That flavor is much more pleasant in clay.
This is the first roasted oolong I've tried, and I really like it! Matt was kind enough to send a couple sessions' worth as a sample along with an order and I'm so glad he did. This tea has a very sweet upfront taste and a scent that reminds me almost of toasted marshmallows. The milk oolong cultivar is a popular favorite for good reason as well, and this tea has that characteristic very creamy full body. It isn't a subtle flavor by any means, and it really fills up the mouth and nose with the great smell. A welcome departure from my typical greener oolongs :)
