Old Tree Assamica Black

After a many year wait, we are happy to bring back this exceptional tea. Picked from 70+ year old assamica tea trees, this rich, warm and robust tea is the best expression of the Assamica cultivar we have ever had. Made just for us with care and mastery by our up-and-coming Tea Master friend Yiming in Luye Taidong, this is one of the highest quality black teas we have on the site right now.

Full of the strength and familiar flavors of the Assamica cultivar, this takes take them to the next level. Smooth dark malts, black cherry and a touch of beautiful floral, this tea is one of the most 'luxurious' we have ever had. If you are a fan of classic black tea flavors, this one is a must try.

Picked from decades old trees that had been abandoned for over 40 years before being brought back into harvests recently, the regenerative farming methods of this garden add a rich depth to this tea. This was a micro batch of tea made specifically for us so we don't have much, but we have already put in an order for more!

A superb daily drinker!

This is what I think of when I think black tea. Before getting into better quality teas, Typhoo was my black tea of choice. Now I drink this instead, hot or cold. Its a perfect daily drinker and is very affordable.

Good black tea

A very good black tea - not super bold in aroma but naturally sweet and with lots of unique body and texture! Good price for value!

A Solid Daily Drinker!

This is an exceptionally good 'plain' black tea! This is the type of black I could drink every day to enjoy hot by the mug full or iced by the gallon! With just a few grams in a small gaiwan I found absolutely no astringency...just pure assamica black tea goodness!
