Chilai High Mountain Black
***Today (Oct. 19th) we are releasing only half our allotment of this year's tea due the fact that we still cannot send tea to our friends in the USA. We will release the rest of our allotment when shipping to the USA resumes, hopefully soon.
**The 2024 version of this tea was legendary, and the 2025 version is great but not quite as good(~95%). The 2025 pick has all the same flavors as 2024 but the malty dark flavors are more dominant compared to last year. Teas of this caliber are never the same twice. As always, it is best to try some before ordering large amounts!**
This tea is a special one. Grown at 1600m in the Chilai Mountain region, from the moment you open the bag, you know that this tea is different. The candy-sweet red fruit flavors that this tea offers are only possible with highly oxidized high mountain tea leaves from this terroir. This year's production is great. It is an unforgettable tea!
Many people consider this one of the best black teas they have ever had. We are counted among them.
