Chilai High Mountain Black
This tea is a special one. Grown at 1800m in the Chilai Mountain region, from the moment you open the bag, you know that this tea is different. The ripe, sweet red fruit flavors that this tea offers are only possible with highly oxidized high mountain tea leaves. And this one has a generous amount of floral notes mixed in as well. The garden that produces this tea actually holds back each year's black tea production and only releases it a year later, after it has settled into its flavor and 'ripened' with rest. These types of teas only get better with age.
**Years ago we offered another 2000m high mountain black that was a spectacular tea. After that tea was sold out we haven't found a tea good enough to take its place. Until now!
