Understanding Taiwanese Black Teas
Taiwan is not famous for its black teas but that doesn't mean that there aren't some world-class examples of the genre grown and produced here. This set is designed to give you a deep understanding of the rare beauty that black teas in Taiwan have to offer.
In this set we have included examples of low vs high elevation productions, a sample of the most popular tea cultivars used to create black teas in Taiwan, and the Taiwanese take on the classic 'Lipton' type back tea as a reference point. We have also included an informational sheet that explains the difference between the teas by describing their processing and growing environments.
After sampling these teas you will be able to understand the taste and texture differences between high and low elevation teas, the impact of bug bites on finished productions, and recognize the unique taste points of popular Taiwanese Black Tea Cultivars.
If you like the darker flavors in the tea spectrum then this set is for you! Included in this set are:
- Sun Moon Assamica
- Honey Fragrance Black Tea
- Sanxia Black Tea
- Sun Moon Ruby 18
- 2011 Aged 4 Season's Black
**The included teas might change slightly due to availability and what we think might be a better addition.
