Thai and Ruby GAPU Mao Cha
In October 2023, our GABA Subscription Box included these two fascinating teas. We have a little left over so we are releasing them in a limited amount for everyone to try! Both of these teas are processed in the same way, using hybrid oolong, GABA and Puer techniques to create flavors found nowhere else. And the comparison of terroir and cultivar between them is as interesting as it is fun!
Both are strong and soft, rich and light, have oolong fruitiness with young sheng bite, but are beguilingly different in their own ways. We are very happy to offer this uniquely processed tea for you to enjoy.
These teas are Mao Cha, or 'unfinished', meaning that they can be pressed into cakes in the future. We are talking with our friend about mixing the two teas together to create about as unique a tea cake as you can imagine. So, if you get both kinds of teas blend them together and give them a try. Then let us know what you think!
