The rarest of teas, we were happy to get our hands on some of this 'farmers only' style of tea picked just as the first frosts put the tea trees to sleep at the start of winter. The rich floral vegetal sweetness of the snow picked teas is unmistakable and this one has it in full force. Its powerful yellow brew is like cabbage flowers in a vegetable broth. Once you have had it once it is hard to forget the unique taste of this season!
The 2024 version of this tea is from the same Chi Lai garden as our Chi Lai Black and as it is from an area that is not as famous as some of the others, the price is a little better than other years. If you are a fan of this season of tea or are a fan of high mountain oolongs but have never tried it, this tea is worth it for sure!
