Shanlinxi Master Roast Oolong
Grown in an area know for its rich, floral green oolongs, this rare deeply roasted Shanlinxi gives a new frame of appreciation for this terroir. Roasted 3 times for 12 hours each time over a week, the heavier roast on this tea brings out a complex duality of flavors that are hard to forget!
We found the producers of this tea at the 2022 Nantou Tea Expo and were blown away by the masterful roast placed on these leaves. The upfront flavors of roast, wood and nuts change dramatically into long lasting notes of rich fruit and sweet caramel.
Not many teas of this higher level of roast have the deep complexity of this one. We are happy to bring something a little different from Shanlinxi to the site!
