Ruby 18 White Tea

**We are happy to bring this classic tea back into stock after a long wait. White tea is notoriously hard to produce and we needed to find a batch from our partner farm that was up to our standards. We finally found one!**

A truly unique, subtle and deep tea made from the Ruby 18 cultivar. If you like Ruby 18 black, this is a must try. Sweet notes give way to a clear and pleasant mid mouth before finishing with a blast of that menthol-licorice-mint so unique to this cultivar. Hand picked and processed using only the very tip of the tea leaves, this tea is a best seller!

Unforgettable flavor

This white tea is one to add to the collection! A cool, refreshing brew with upfront notes of menthol and licorice. Leaves with a clear focus.

Totally different from what you'd expect from a white..

The only thing I like more to than how different the teas from this seller are are their VERY high quality. Had 7 already and not one miss, came back for more. This white tea the 'menthol-licorice-mint' in abundance and is sweet. As mentioned you have to go gongfu on this one..

A Great White Tea

It is reductive to attempt to describe the wonderfully strange aroma that this Ruby 18 White creates but I'll attempt it in a few words: Sweet licorice, clove, eucalyptus/menthol, yeast, tomato vine? Ruby 18 must be quite different than others in flavor and this white is worth picking up for just how different it is than any other tea I've ever had. Taste is sweet and tart, with menthol, anise, and melon/pumpkin. The texture is satisfying, light body and astringency that upon swallowing creates a vapor in throat that carries the cooling and sweet aroma back into the mouth. Definitely a memorable tea, one that for whatever reason I think would be perfect on a rainy day.

Sweet Ruby 18

The distinctly complex flavor profile of Ruby 18 is absolutely charming as white tea. The flavors enfold in quick succession: liquorice, peachy sweetness and a minty afterthought. I love this tea because it is nice contrast to the more "straightforward" honey/peach flavor profile of most white teas.

Minty Sweet!

Has the distinct ruby 18 cultivar flavor (camphor? menthol?) that translates into more of a mintiness in this tea. There's a distinct minty cooling sensation. It is a smooth, easy drinking white that leaves a minty sweetness on the palate like no other!
