This tisane is another favorite of this tea company and is sure to be the favorite of many others as well. Roselle is a common drink all over Taiwan and valued for its taste and effects (which we won't get into here). Grown the world over with many names, the tea produced from this plant is refreshingly tart and fruity, like the first taste of biting into a strawberry but without the sweet aftertaste. It is a perfect drink before bed or at times when caffeine is not wanted. It is 100% caffeine free!
This particular batch was produced by one of partner farms and we were there for the processing. The smell was spectacular!
(Although the material itself looks like a flower, it is actually the red calyces of the plant are used in the tisane.)
**Like all our teas, there are no added flavors, colors or chemicals in this tea. All flavors are completely natural and additive-free!**

***We are neither here nor there on the tea vs. tisane issue.(Tisane being an infusion of leaves from some other plant than the tea plant and tea being, well, tea from the tea plant) In Taiwan, the mandarin word for 'tea' is used for everything including herbal teas as long as you add in what the 'tea' is made of. 'Flower tea', or 'Fruit Tea' for example. We will use both interchangeably.
