Pomelo Flower Fragrance Oolong

**The fresh 2024 pick is in stock and great as always. We used a higher quality Milk Oolong this year and it is wonderful!**

Ruisui Taiwan is famous for two things, tea and pomelos. This tea is a mix of both. Fresh spring-picked milk oolong infused with the intoxicating citrus/jasmine smell of pomelo flowers. The tea and flowers are laid together, but not mixed. They are dried together, but without touching, at low heat over up to two days. The process creates an amazing expression of spring, a rare and beautiful tea.

This tea is only made for about two weeks in the Taiwanese spring. A very limited amount of tea is made. If you would like some, it is best not to wait too long!

While brewing this tea it is best to treat it like a green tea, with longer, cooler water steeps. If the water is too hot it can burn off the gorgeous perfume-like citrus floral notes that have been infused into this amazing tea.

Lovely Tea

I had tried a 25g bag of this tea a while ago and shared some with my family. My mother enjoyed it so much she asked me to order a large bag so she could continue to enjoy it. I agree with the other reviews: the fragrance is lovely and not too much. The tea is light and very enjoyable. I used the left over leaves (after gong fu style of brewing) to make a cold brew for the next day and was impressed that the flavor and scent were still detectable. If you like floral oolongs, it's hard to go wrong with this one.

Lovely fragrance

The tea has a lovely fragrance, with the pomelo flower infusing the flavor. It’s not overpowering, and you can still appreciate a light milk oolong taste underneath. Tea is fresh and light, best enjoyed while reading a book or relaxing.

Absolutely amazing

Just brewed this and came here to say wow!! I absolutely love floral teas and this is so lovely. It has an amazing floral aroma and I love how prominent it is. Definitely getting more with my next order.

UNBELIEVABLY floral. Wowza.

Was very excited to try a proper tea that was actually laid with the tea leaves during processing, (but didn’t touch!) this step alone should be indicative of quality with how much care goes into that.

The soup is a beautiful yellow/green, a wild flowery smell punches your nose in the face upon opening the sachet .

Just an absurdly strong flower scent and taste— not a bad thing persay, but a bit too much for me personally. Borderline perfumy. Still delicious, maybe not an everyday tea for me.

Breathtaking!

I felt like I was drinking perfume! Beautiful floral on the nose and rich, full flavors. I taste violets, oranges, honeysuckle, and a light milk oolong underneath. This is an intoxicating tea not to be missed if you like your teas on the more floral side. An instant favorite in our house. Can't wait to turn others on to this exquisite tea.
