Organic Snow-Pick Baozhong
A tea that we have never carried on the site before, this snow-picked and traditional processed baozhong is a treat. The usual spring-picked baozhongs are a rich tapestry of milky vegetal, floral and sweet flavors. This snow-pick is something different. Although recognizable as a baozhong, the milky flavor has been mostly replaced by a touch of cold-weather florals and a deep fruit aftertaste that baozhongs traditionally lack. While we don't think that the limited amount of snow-picked baozhongs will become the norm any time soon, this tea is a great example of what seasons do to the taste of teas!
** Note About The Processing: This tea was picked in a very small amount on December 6th, 2019. The winter season is lacking in labor resources in the Pinglin area so this tea was picked by machine. Because of this, the stems were separated from the leaves after the tea was processed in the competition style. Slightly lower water temperatures and shorter steeps will benefit this tea in the brewing process. If you have any questions about this tea please don't hesitate to get in touch!
