#20 Cultivar White Tea

Another white tea to add to the site, this one is a great expression of the #20 cultivar. Rich, sweet and floral, people often times mention baking bread when smelling and consuming this tea. Although a white tea, the flavor of this tea is quite strong and lasts for many steeps. It is also a very rare tea as the #20 cultivar is notoriously hard to grow(see pictures). Sure to be a favorite for years to come for white tea fans!

Finding this wonderful agrochemical free garden was a bit of a surprise for our fall 2018 sourcing trip as the Mingjian area has a reputation of having very low quality, intensively agrochemical sprayed tea. With rich red soil, anything can grow there and so the agricultural practices are very short term and 'fad' based. This farm challenged our views of the area and drove home how important the philosophy of the grower is for the finished product. We were so happy to meet this family and be able to support them!

Sublime

If you liked the "Aged Heart White" you should try this one, as they share a lot of similarities..
Both start pristine- the "Aged Heart" has an oolong twist to it, while the "#20 Cultivar" is more straight/pure.
Both change over steeps, and give an engaging drinking experience.
The dry leaf is beautiful in appearance and smell.

Amazing tea
