Big Leaf Emerald White Tea

Our first spring tea of the 2019 season this one happens to be a rare spring white!  Delicate, light and smoothly floral, this tea is a classic Taiwanese white. Slight grassy green notes open up to a smooth, bright jasmine floral as the steeps progress. The material for this tea is some of the most painstakingly hand picked material of any of our teas. As delicate as it comes!

**Made with a  relatively old and rare cultivar, Big Leaf Oolong, this material is usually made into Honey Fragrance Blacks and Oolongs. Care, skill and luck has created this lovely and rare tea.

Exquisite flavour and delicate mouthfeel

As ever, the care and attention with which Mountain Stream Teas carries itself is noticeable. From the adequate type of packing (the 50 g bag was oversized so as not to crush the leaves) to the discerning nature of the sourcing.
The tea speaks volumes about the lengths that Mountain Stream Teas will go to when offering such original teas. This may fast become a favourite!

Quite a white!! lol

Seriously, though, this one is just shy of "elegant"! well-rounded lovely floral---but the floral is so delicate, it's like a bouquet of "white flowers"----its aftertaste is as if you could liquefy a handful of white flowers...and say, "oh,btw this is TEA!"

Beautiful tea

Aside from the delicate floral taste, the sight of the tiny whole dried leaves--completely intact--is absolutely beautiful. Lighter and more delicate than the Big Leaf Floral Green Tea (one of my favorites!) that is sold on this site.
